I'm still reading How I Live Now and it's is really good. This story is going more in depth now it is talking about how Daisy the main character is having some type of feeling for her cousin Edmond. Her feeling for him is serious because she has never felt that way before and she is liking it even though it is a weird situation. 
In other parts of the story she is dealing with the war that is occurring at that moment and how it effect her in every-way. She is trying to understand what is the point of the war and how it effects the adults but not the children. 
Daisy keeps bringing up her past from her home town and how she barley misses it because she is loving it in England with her new family. Her dad called her and asked her if she wanted to come back home and she said no right away. Daisy dad felt really bad for brining her to England and now she doesn't want to come back. So he said that he will send her money and that was the last time they talked.
Other then that she is enjoying herself and having fun with the rest of her cousins and aunt Pen.
Glad you are enjoying the development of the novel. Would love to hear what you think of the individual characters.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a different idea for a book, kind of unusual. Not sure how I myself would enjoy reading it, but I'm sure there are other aspects that will be focused on. I like how you showed the different covers of the books to compare.
